Add Family member's systems to my account

I have several family members I have setup systems for.  They each have their own account for billing purposes.

I would like the ability to add other systems to my login and control the systems.  Right now I have to log out, log into their account, do 2 factor....then do the same thing to log back into my account.

@tafische I too have set up many systems for families and friends I have recommended over the years (and paid for a few too - house warming gift for my daughter etc). Simple rule: your system, you maintain it.  This may not work in all situations but so far so good for me.

SS does have a business software version available for multiple sites that may or may not address your need. I would call support and ask.

Hi @tafische

As you've discovered, the SimpliSafe app is only able to accept one login at a time.

The only workaround is that our Support team (you can find all our contact details here) is able to move those other accounts to your existing one - so that all locations are under one login. You would need to have all of the Safe Word passcodes for all of the accounts that you want to move around.

All of the billing would remain as they are, so each family member can keep paying for their own system. You can switch between properties in the SimpliSafe app through a simple drop-down menu.

However, all of you will need to log in under the same username and password, and all of you will be able to access each other's systems, cameras, and settings.

@davey_d I can't really decide if I find it hilarious or infuriating that a company that is in the business of providing people a sense of security is recommending password sharing because it can't figure out how to support multiple accounts.

Other companies have found ways to make this kind of thing work.  Just imagine if developers had to create a new account for every GitHub project and share the login credentials with everyone they wanted to collaborate with.

This is not a technical problem. This is a management program. The people in charge have not made this a priority.
