Electrical monitoring sensor

Just installed the Ting electrical monitoring sensor in my house; easy to do in minutes and will, after a 7-day learning period, monitor my entire electrical system for issues 24 x 7. Provided by my insurance company at no charge for 3 years, I jumped on the offer.

Simplisafe, this would make an excellent tie-in with the SS3 system. Please look into the possibility of doing a private-label deal with them!

Thanks, Captain!

This is very cool and I'm excited to bring it up to our Product team. For everyone else: Ting is a device that plugs into a power socket, and monitors your home's entire electrical system for anomalies, which are signs of an issue with the wiring that could cause an electrical fire. It's a very interesting technology, and probably super useful for those of us with older homes!

Just saw that Ring has this available and would be a great add for Simplisafe

My neighbor has a Ting monitor (paid by his insurance)

Ting called him and said that there was arcing in a circuit. They isolated it to a specific outlet.

This would be a good addition to SimpliSafe.

However, when I called SimpliSafe to ask about this, the rep told me they do security systems, not safety or protection systems (notwithstanding water leak detectors and CO monitors).
