Unable to Turn Off Key Fob's "Alarm State Buttons"
I have a Gen 3 system and am using IOS.
When I go into the "Key Fob Setting" on my IOS device and move the "Alarm State Buttons" slide switch to the "0" (left) position the SimpleSafe system still responds to the three alarm state buttons on the key fob. Even with the Alarm State Buttons set to disabled I am able to set the system to Off, Home and Away. After many attempts I am unable to disable the three alarm state buttons on the Key Fob.
Can anyone provide suggestions?
I am syncing/updating my app with the base station prior to switching the "Alarm State Buttons" to "0" in the app.
I am sending the new setting "to the base" after changing the setting.
I have tried removing and reinstalling the key fob.
I have tested the operation of the three alarm state buttons with the "Alarm State Buttons" slide switch set to "0" (left position) and set to "1" (right position). In both cases the three alarm state buttons are active.
I have verified that I am able to change other device system settings through my IOS app.
Besides the Key Fob's alarm state buttons issues, the alarm system is responding and operating normally.

@dean_33 For full disclosure, I have zero Apple products so take my response with a grain of salt. I didn't even know that was a setting for the fob, and on my Android app it says "on" and "off". I put the setting on "off", saved it, exited. When I pressed the home button, the system did not enter home mode, however, Simplisafe, my 3 Fast Protect Smart cameras started recording and the "off" screen on the keypad flashed and heard a click.
I suggest this is a bug and not the expected behavior with the button setting to "off". If the Home and Away buttons are inactive, I would think the camaras would be too. Please advise.
dean_33, if your fob buttons remain active, I would call support and troubleshoot.

Thank you caption11.
After reading your comment I decided to experiment with the key fob again. My key fob, with the Alarm State Buttons "OFF", also operates as you described it. With the Alarm State Buttons setting in the "OFF" mode, all three buttons (OFF, HOME and AWAY) cause the system to verbally announce the current mode of the system (Off, Home or Away) and actives the cameras. So, for example, pressing the HOME button does not put the system in the home mode. It simply announces the system's current mode and activates the cameras.
Maybe this is a bug or maybe there is some valid logic behind the behavior.
I don't use the key fob so I just deleted it from my account.
I know that SimpiSafe participates in this forum and that they are responsive. I'll leave it up to them to decide if they want to investigate.
