Countdown beeping?

The base station has a countdown beep when you arm it.. can I turn that off or lower the volume in the settings somehow?

Hello @Rtipton, 

That countdown you hear when you arm and disarm your system is the Entry and Exit Delay, which comes from the Keypad and it cannot be alerted. However, you can adjust the length of the countdown in the SimpliSafe mobile app by navigating to My System > General Settings. Then, scroll down until you see "Home" and "Away" where you can change the length of your Entry and Exit Delays.

This should be changed to allow user modification. It is definitely a deciding factor on keeping the system or returning it.

Agreed…user modifications should be allowed. This is new in a recent update. It hasn’t always done it and it’s totally annoying. I’m think of changing systems because of it!

@jennid31​ unfortunately no, the countdown beeps from the Keypad have never been changeable. We do have a pending Product Request thread, and if you chime in there, that can help make the case for this feature.

This makes my dog extremely anxious each time I have to arm the system.  I think they are anticipating an alarm.  This should be changed
