Video Zoom and Full Screen

Unable to zoom in or full screen outdoor camera recorded videos. The icon in the lower right hand corner does not produce a full screen image or enlarge the image. also, trying to zoom by pinching screen does not work either. My son has the same problem on his iphone as well. Looked for a setting that would address this, but I don't see one.

Any ideas?

Hi @jatboston,

 

We did have arecent compatibility issue with iOS 16, that was resolved by an app update. Have you and your son already updated to latest version?

Updated to 17.2 and it still won't expand.  Also, why can't I delete videos?  And People Only on motion detection does not work.  It goes off every time the wind blows anything around.

@rpedenko​ I just tested this on my iPhone and I was able to expand my recordings. I would recommend removing and reinstalling the SimpliSafe mobile app on your device to see if that helps. 

You should also be able to remove recordings using the SimpliSafe mobile app, we list out the steps to do so over in this Help Center article. Please let me know if these steps don't work for you!

People Only motion detection works by the Outdoor Camera looking for tall, people-shaped objects, so it may be mistaking a shadow as a person, but it could also be that the camera's settings aren't sticking properly. If you haven't already, I would try toggling the People Only setting off, saving it, and then toggling it back on again. It can also help to reset the camera's firmware by pressing and holding the pairing button on the back for 30 seconds. Once you release it, you'll be prompted to set the camera back up in the SimpliSafe mobile app.
