Indoor SA Wireless Camera and use of AI

I know that in Illinois, Texas and Portland the law does not allow use of AI and SS must use live agents for outdoor cameras, but is it allowed for indoor cameras? I would hope so as, being the owner of a private resident, I can determine if it is used or not. I have 3 SA cameras, soon to be 4, so do hope the AI monitoring feature can be used.

@captain11 Our Smart Alarm Wireless Indoor Camera - launched in 2023 - has AI-powered motion detection technology that accurately distinguishes between pets and potential intruders. The restrictions you're referring to in Texas, Illinois, and (Portland) Oregon are related to the collection and processing of biometric data (e.g. facial recognition technology), which is unrelated to the AI technology that's employed in your Smart Alarm Wireless Indoor Camera.

Our new outdoor monitoring service - SimpliSafe® Active Guard Outdoor Protection - uses automated face matching to determine if an individual in the view of your Outdoor Security Camera Series 2 or Video Doorbell Pro match a "familiar face" saved to a customer's account (e.g. a family member, close friend, or caregiver). Customers in Texas, Illinois, and Portland, Oregon cannot use automated face matching due to these biometric restrictions. However, customers in these restricted areas are still able to take advantage of our live outdoor monitoring services, as the automated face matching is automatically disabled to comply with local law, and agents will manually review videos to determine if a person matches a saved familiar face profile photo.

@simplisafe_admin Thank you the post and explanation.  Just ordered my 4th SA camera to add more coverage to our home with FastProtect (Yeah, I know, no longer called that but still use it as I think it was (and is) a great way to name it.)
