How do I add a user to view the cameras?

I cannot figure out how to add an additional user (the other adult in the house) so that they can view the camera.   How is this done?

@jay548 at this time the other person would need to have your user id and pw to view the cameras at the website or on the app. Requests have been made for years to allow multiple, separate log ins.  My wife and I share the same log in and works fine.

I don't find that to be an acceptable solution.    The other person in the house is not my wife and I don't necessarily want to share that info with him.    I'm hoping at least that we both can be logged in to view the cameras at the same time.    If not, I guess I'll be using the 30 day money back guarantee.   Does this forum have partiicipation from Simplisafe staff?

Yes, SS staff post here on occasion, but I would not rely on it.  A phone call is much more reliable.

Note that unless they changed it, it is 60 days from the date of the order (not receipt, not shipped).  Call to get a return label, and make sure you get the tracking number, since sometimes in the past they did not notice that a returned system had arrived.

I asked if this option was going to be available soon and this is their response!

As of now, we don't have that feature that will be able to share one camera only. However, there's no need for you to worry about this. We will make sure this will be added on our bucket list and we ensure this will be forwarded to our development team to work on this. To make this as our account future reference.

By the way, thank you for sharing this kind of concern. This is actually a great suggestion, you can look forward to it in the future since we always make sure that our valued customers voice is always heard.

It's frustrating that they are not adding this functionality. It also means that you can't use biometrics for login.

In addition, it would be helpful if one could tailor their access for only certain cameras or none.

I mainly want somebody else in my household to be able to see if the alarm is set to Home or Away. If it's set to home, the only way they can get in without triggering the alarm is by calling me if they don't have the app.

I did mention this on the phone when I called customer service about a different matter, and they had exactly this response that is quoted here. It must be a script they are given.

Disappointing.

Makes you wonder how good the technology actually is if they cannot even create multi log in user's on interface. Maybe they only have one programmer locked in a broom closet and he has more urgent things?
