Can the outdoor wireless camera receive power from a USB output of 5V and 2A?

Hi - I am looking to purchase the outdoor wireless camera but prefer to keep it plugged in for continuous power to avoid having to recharge the battery. Instead of running the power cable to a standard US power outlet, can I instead power the camera with the USB cable plugged into a USB device that puts out 5V and 2A? Looking to see what the options are for power. Thanks.

@Redbranch7778 This has been asked before in various threads and the official answer from SS has been "our power adapter kit, batter or solar panel. Done.  Using anything else other than OEM on any product gives the sourcing company an excuse when it doesn't perform to spec.  I have two outdoor cameras, one Series1 and one Series 2, and both work fine.  Why are you against using the SS power kit? Well made and designed.

The actual Outdoor Camera installation page says the camera requires:

"Compatible USB adapter ( 5V, 7.5W+, 1.5A+, not included)"

There's zero mention there, on the Outdoor Camera product page, anywhere in the support documents that the camera requires the OEM charger and cable (or other OEM accessories) to work correctly.

If SimpliSafe's official stance is that if people expect the product to, you know, work, they need to use only OEM power accessories then that needs to be documented so people can see it. Having to ask in the forums or hunt through old posts is patently ridiculous.

Related to this, SimpliSafe, please fix this all but useless support article:

https://support.simplisafe.com/articles/cameras/outdoor-camera-power-cable-specifications/661ee25fa9ac7835e7b97883

The title of the article is "Outdoor Camera Power Cable Specifications" and the body contains literally ZERO information about anything power related. It's great that y'all tell us the cable is  25 feet long and IP65 rated but shouldn't a support article with that title contain actual power specs? :)

@Redbranch7778 We do offer our own Outdoor Camera Power Cable to keep the Outdoor Camera charged at all times. But we do recommend plugging it into a standard outlet.
