Two accounts one app
How can I add another account with a separate login to my one simplisafe app?
We want the ability to view our fathers account/cameras through the app. We have our home obviously on our phones, but I see nowhere the option to add another account that can be toggled back and forth.
I'm sure this is a problem for a lot of adult children who happen to have the same alarm systems as their parents. I mean usually families use the same companies because word of mouth is the greatest advertising.

Hi fcgillman83,
Unfortunately, the SimpliSafe app is only able to support one login at a time. So you'd need to log out of your personal account to log into your father's account.
That is, unless both of your systems are under the same account, so you can toggle between the two systems without having to log out. But that means both you and your father would have access to all systems under that account.

Has anyone answered this? Is there a way to have 2 users on app for system?

Additionally, it would be nice to be able to assign employees their own app access without being able to change the master password and settings. This way, employees could arm/disarm the system and lock/unlock the door from the app when they enter the building.
Currently, if an employee signs into the app using the master password, they have full access to settings.

Hoping the SimpliSafe design architects take this thread into consideration. It would benefit both SimpliSafe to program this need into their app as you could have more accounts because customers have both a house & business or multiple buildings/business/vacation homes/etc. Please, please, please make this happen!

I've been a simplisafe user for years and just replaced our August lock with 2 new Simplisafe locks only to realize that my child cannot use the app to unlock/lock the door because the only way to give him that access would be turn over my master credentials....
Are you serious right now? A **SECURITY** company that has ignored the most basic digital security and instead makes users share system credentials?!?
That's absolutely ridiculous in this day and age.
I mean, FFS, my August lock could even allow me to add GUEST users, who could use the app, to access the lock during very specific windows of time. This is not hard to develop stuff, it's the MINIMUM VIABLE PRODUCT at this point.

It appears nothing has been done to add secondary account holders to an account. I'm looking through the forums because I want my employees to be able to use the webapp to view cameras on demand while they are at their desk.
Has there been any hint of a feature update coming in a software release?

While you are at it, I just found out we can only have 4 pins. We need 25 pins so each employee can have their own login recorded. I'm thinking I've obviously overlooked something because I was told before we bought that everyone could have their own.

If I have a peoples names and their phone number listed as my second and third contacts on my SimpliSafe account, why are they not able to log on and view the cameras? This is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard of!
I never realized when I bought my SimpliSafe that this would be an issue. It's the most basic of security needs. Please update me when this is fixed. Thanks!

Unbelievable! It's 2024, we're now using AI to reason across data.... but, Simplisafe still only supports one user per account. Great, if you're single with no children.
So, what could go wrong? Let's see.... the house is on fire, but I'm in a customer meeting with my phone ringer turned off. My wife cannot use her phone to access the account. Oh, no problem.
Looking over threads, they 'talk' about adding this basic feature. Something was mentioned 8 months ago with a Spring release date???? Gheez, I'll send you the code if you're having trouble figuring it out.
Hoping to see this feature REALLY SOON. If not, time to find a new security company and plaster this shortcoming across every social media account across the web on the way out. Don't want others to make the same mistake of doing business with a company who cannot not support a foundational feature found in every other product known to mankind.

I agree with everyone above. I have a business and home system and it is ridiculous to have to log out of one and into the other. Plus, whichever one I am logged into, I do not get notifications for the other one. Not an acceptable situation.
