@bakers49 Unfortunately, you haven't posted enough detail (phone model, operating system, version etc) for me to adequately reply on your issue.  Some have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but suggest you call SS directly and troubleshoot with an agent. SS will be more than happy to assist.

Please post your outcome here if you get a chance.

@bakers49 ,

The Captain brings up some great questions. If you could let us know the make and model of your phone, as well the version of your operating system, that could help point us in the right direction. It would also be great to know exactly what's happening - is the app not loading anything at all, or are you getting error messages?

I installed a second SS system in a vacation home and successfully included on my SS phone App.  However now when I try to toggle from my primary home SS system to my new SS location, it quickly reverts back to the primary Location.  I cannot access the new system from my app.  It does work on my laptop, toggling back and forth to the two locations, but does not toggle to the New Location ?

Thank you

Michelle

@mcdoodlings Call SS to troubleshoot. Also, they do have a business version that is designed for mutliple locations, so it can be done.

@delroyandmaxeen yes, you can watch a livestream of your cameras on your laptop. To do this:

1. Go to https://spr.ly/61216qP80n using the browser of your choice

2. On the navigation bar on the left side of your screen, click Cameras. If you do not see the navigation bar, click the three-bar menu on the top left corner of the screen and it will appear

3. Find the camera you want to livestream through, and then click Watch Live

I was surprised when disarming the Away Mode from the app all I had to do was press Off. I was not prompted to enter my pin or anything. The question arose that if someone got my phone could they simply turn off the alarm from the app and then break into my home? When I come into the house I must enter the pin to disarm but not when I use the app?

@dvo There's an app lock for a pin under the 3 bar menu, app settings. Once a pin is setup you can supposedly use biometrics to open as well, if setup on your phone.

@dlpsr Biometrics or pin, both work fine. I should note I am using a Pixel 8 Android phone.

@captain11 I don't use it.

The pin and biometrics settings are also available for iOS. I’ve been using it for months now without any issues. No delay opening the app.  @dvo If you’re concerned about your system being turned off through the app l would enable this option.

@dvo Correct, a PIN is not required when disarming your system via the SimpliSafe mobile app. But you can enable the App Lock setting to create a 4-digit PIN that you must enter before accessing the mobile app.

To do this, go to the three-bar icon in the upper left corner of the screen > App Settings > Configure App Lock.
