Entry Sensor fails in cold room.
One of my entry sensors is in an unheated and un-air-conditioned room. It worked perfectly from March through October, but it began to send "sensor error" notices with each cold snap. It would send a "restored" notice each time it warmed up. I didn't relate it with cold weather at first, so I replaced it (had to buy a 4 pack). But the new one is following the same pattern. They do not work in a cold room.

I only know my experience but I have several in unheated areas, they are not the ones that give me issues typically.

Hi @cshugh11 ,
For the Entry Sensor, we do have a recommended environment of 32°F to 120°F, with 90% max humidity. Do you know if the temperature in that room is dipping below the recommended range?
Our Entry Sensors are designed for indoor home environments, and unfortunately won't do very well in extremes.
But I don't want to discount other potential issues, like range and interference. We have a step-by-step guide on the Help Center that can assist.

I am having the same issue with two sensors in colder rooms, garage and back room in house, both maintained at 50 degrees in colder months. Sensor was replaced by SimpliSafe and batteries were replaced, still having issues.

I am having the same issue with one on french door that isn't well insulated - when covered by curtains (it's in a small room off our kitchen, not heated) it gets very cold at night and we get the "low battery" signal. I replace the battery and same thing the next night.

I have the same with my back door which is a metal sliding glass door and yes it's inside home but the door gets real cold in the winter especially at night as here in the south it doesn't stay cold for long but when it does I can touch the sensor and it will be cold, pull sensor off mount and touch battery and it's cold so we usually get back door sensor not responding then hours later sensor responding again.
