Does simplisafe provide service in mexico?

No, US and UK only. Another customer asked this and Johnny M said the SS3 system should work but no monitoring available.

Hi,

That's right. The first problem is that we're not able to ship or charge customers outside of our two markets, so paid service is not available. You could still use Basic App Control, and livestreaming of the cameras - assuming that you could install the SimpliSafe app (which also shouldn't be available outside of the US or UK).
And finally, we cannot guarantee that our equipment meets your local standards and protocols. It might help to check in with your local authorities.

@davey_d​  Is there a way to change the phone number the base calls when activated? Im in mexico and want the base to call my cell phone in the states.

Hi @okfire ,

First we should make clear what happens when an alarm event occurs. While the sirens are active, your Base Station sends a signal to the Monitoring Service, and it would be a human operator who gives you a call.

The number that the operator calls is based on what you have listed on your online account, and you can change that at any time. On the SimpliSafe app, you can find that section under Menu > Location Profile > Primary Contacts.

Hello Davey, I have a question: If I have a SimpliSafe system with monitoring at my current home in the US and then move the system to Mexico with me, will my system still call the monitoring service from Mexico who will in turn call whatever number I have listed under my contact? Does the monitoring service have the capability to call a Mexican cell phone or does it have to be a US cell number?

I understand you don’t have monitoring service in Mexico but can I self install the system in Mexico and monitor it on my US cellphones?

@cjohnson0912​ We are unable to ship our products outside of the US or the UK, so you would have to ship your system to your home in the US and then bring it with you to Mexico. After setting the system up you should be able to monitor it on your smartphone.

The SimpliSafe mobile app is also only available for download within the US and UK. So before going to your home in Mexico, you would need to make sure that you log into the app so you can stay logged in for 30 days.
