Siren Hack
Great thread.
do the sirens have the same need for an antenna to allow for increased range ? And if so, is the antenna addition the same as with the other devices?
thank you

@mec8061 Interesting question. Suggest you post your question in one of the threads where that topic is covered, or, better yet, head over to Etsy, do a search and find the customer with the modified entry sensor and ask him. Up front, I am certainly not an engineer or remotely qualtified to provide a definitive answer, but since all of the SS3 sensors work on the same communicaton methodology, including the entry sensor and aux siren, I would think it would work (However, you should confirm with someone more much more qualified than me.)
And for SS, dead horse is out again for a beating, I and many others have used the existing entry sensors for garage door use for mutliple years now and they work fine. Please, have your dev team spend 5 minutes at their homes and try it, and then, get off their duffs and release a garage door sensor already. Your customers have already done all the work, you just need to update the software for "Away" mode use and get some nice looking packaging.
Okay, putting the horse away again until next time. :-)
