The SimpliSafe system requires 2.4GHz Wi-Fi to work. However, all routers that support 5GHz also have 2.4GHz. If you separate the two networks, or have a separate guest network that broadcasts only at 2.4GHz, your system will connect.
@waynes I recommend contacting Frontier regarding the specific steps to create a guest network with their router, as their process may be different than other providers.
