Can't access Menu (or anything else) on keypad

My keypad lights up and makes a tone when I press the buttons and I put in my PIN, but as many times as I try I can never bring up the menu on the keypad -- it just goes back to displaying the mode.  I also can't change btw Off - Home - Away mode or arm/disarm the system.  I tried the battery trick, resetting the base station and... NADA.  Help, please....

Hi @darcy91401 ,

That is indeed super strange. Does the Keypad screen show or indicate anything else, like an error message? Or does it just show the default "Off" screen? And does the Base Station respond when you enter your PIN? At the very least, every time you enter your PIN, the Base Station should say "Alarm Off".

If not, try moving your Keypad to just a few feet away from the Base Station (assuming it isn't already). If the Base Station starts responding to the Keypad then, this might be a case of interference between the Base Station and where your Keypad normally is, that is blocking the signal.

I'm having the same problem. I tried the battery exchange (and new batteries) also moved closer to the base station. None of this work's. I enter the pin and get a response from the base. I push the menu button, enter the pin and it returns to the OFF position. I push the maintenance icon on the screen, enter the password and it returns to the OFF position.

I can't access the menu to update the system.

@tvjake2 As scottrodgers101 mentioned, the Master PIN needs to be entered to access your system's settings. Custom PINs cannot be used to make any changes to your system.

If you are entering your Master PIN and the Keypad still will not allow you to view your system settings, I would recommend reaching out to our Support team for some additional assistance.

Make sure you are using the master PIN code. Any other pins don’t have menu access. If not you may need to phone them for a replacement keypad.

@jomimms1 Just to confirm, are you typing your Master PIN into the Keypad? If a different PIN other than the Master PIN is entered, the Keypad will not open up its menu.

But if you are entering your Master PIN, what happens if you move the Keypad closer to the Base Station? Are you able to access the menu then?
