Doorbell/camera suddenly non-responsive
I recently switched ISPs so had to re-set up each of my SS cameras to connect to the new network. It worked fine for my regular outdoor camera, but when I removed my doorbell camera to engage the reset button on the back it, in effect, seems to have instantly died. It has no internal power, is completely non-responsive to any combo of holding/pressing buttons, and now also seems totally dead even when placed back on the powered mounting plate. Can removing the doorbell from its plate really just cause it to die or am I missing something?

Hi @jdob,
The Video Doorbell does get its power from the mounting bracket, but quickly removing the doorbell from the bracket to reset it shouldn't drain its battery.
What happens if you leave the doorbell on its mounting bracket for about 10 minutes? Does it charge back up and is responsive again?

This exact thing happened to me this week also. When on the plate the doorbell actually works but the camera and electronics of the unit are completely dead. No lights around the button and unresponsive to any reset.
