Camera recordings have all but stopped

Between my video doorbell and one outdoor cam on the front of my house, I would get an estimated 40 recordings per day. Starting last Thursday 5/2/24 (or thereabouts), I am lucky to get about 4 recordings per day. Where did the other 90% of my recordings go? (i.e. what change did SimpliSafe make last week to decrease the number of recordings and/or desensitize the cameras). I will have to go elsewhere for my $29.99 a month is this isn't rectified.

Hi @James_S ,

Regarding the Video Doorbell Pro, we have an ongoing investigation that we're urgently working to resolve. Keep an eye out for a post soon in this section when we have more info.

As for your Outdoor Camera, that's a different story. We did make changes with Firmware 1.23 that improved motion detection accuracy, resulting in fewer false triggers. That way, you can be more sure that your camera is warning you of real intruders. But if you find that your Outdoor Camera is not catching  what you actually want it to catch, we many want to troubleshoot further and make sure that your unit is working properly. Our Support team can help with that.

@James_S​ we did resolve the server-side issue for the Video Doorbell mid-last week. So there might be something else going on with your unit. Have you done any further troubleshooting since then? It might help to have more info so we can investigate.

My issue is the same as when i wrote/what i described a week ago. I have been waiting to hear back from you via the broken link you originally sent. As far as i knew, SimpliSafe was still working on the issue.

To repeat, regarding my video doorbell, i now get about 10% of the daily recordings i got for the last 4 years. I get no recordings overnight. Another example, i used to get about 20 recordings when i mowed the lawn. Now, i get zero recordings.

nothing has changed on my end, other than the recordings all but stopping suddenly. Quite coincidental that SimpliSafe was investigating an issue with their video doorbells at that same time.

Yes, please do investigate my issue. Thats why i wrote a week ago.
