Selectively bypass a sensor
I want to put an entry sensor on my patio gate. However, my Gardner comes in once per week to mow the back lawn. Is there any way to bypass the gate entry sensor at a selected date and time so the Gardner doesn't set off the alarm?

Hi @w6te
Just a quick note, the entry sensors are not designed for outdoor use. If you have an enclosed patio, it might be ok to use, however, it would still be subjected to elements like weather that it wasn't designed to withstand.
Hypothetically, if you did set up a sensor in this location you could configure it to be a Secret Alert. Secret Alerts will send you a discreet notification that the sensor has been tripped when in Home or Away mode, rather than triggering a system alarm.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Happy to help!
All the best,
Alexandria C.

I don't know of a way to do this. This would be a good suggestion for a feature add if there's not one. Bypass has been a feature in alarm systems for more than 30 years. The selected date and time would be different though.
Does your gardener come at the exact same time every week? I wish mine would! :)

The gardener is pretty reliable, time wise. Most of the time we are at home when he comes. But there are times when he misses. I guess I could put a keypad by the gate so he could disable the alarm. It would have to be in a weather proof box.
