difficulty with installing entry sensors
I had difficulty installing an entry sensor on several of the doors in my home because the door jamb ( frame) was not flush with the door ( which was recessed) leaving too large of a gap for the sensors to work properly. is there any kind of fix for this?

So long as the main sensor piece is no further than 2 inches away from the magnet, you should be okay. For recessed doors, it might even be necessary to place the magnet on the inside, so that the door swings right past it when it opens. Our Support team at 800-548-9508 also has slimmer magnets that you can try.
Check out this guide in our Help Center. You might find the images helpful.

Install spacers under the sensor to align it.

I'm having the same problem; my frame sticks out further than the door. Do I need to add some sort of spacer to the door to get the sensor to match. What is the correct fix Thanks Wayne

Here is your solution. Go to the Dollar Store, buy a box ($1.25) and attach to the door. Then, attach the sensor using the screws and the other side, use the adhesive that came with the sensor. It worked GREAT. Here is the picture. The box is 2" x 3" and very very light.
