REFERRAL PROGRAM

I referred a friend and they received the system. I have made 3 requests for the $200 referral. 2 weeks ago I was promised the gift card via email. All necessary info on new customer was given and confirmed.  As of today no email. I called this morning and was put on hold and eventually they hung up. I have been a long time customer and have been very satisfied with their service and I am very surprised that they are not making good on their referral program.

Do you happen to know how long ago your friend purchased their SimpliSafe system? As part of our referral program's policies, the gift card will be sent out 45 days after your friend completed their purchase. 

But if it has been longer than 45 days, please let me know and I can get you in touch with a member of our Specialist team for further assistance.

I have had the same problem.  Made the referral because I was happy with my service, called 3 times, with excuses every time.  I have all documentation.  Referral program is definitely a scam.  I made the referral in July, and still have not received a gift card.

@ketracy We do apologize to hear about this experience. Looking into your account, we do see that you contacted our Support team about this, and they filled out a form requesting for our third-party to resend the gift card.

 

You should receive an email with your gift card in 5-7 business days. But if you do not receive it, please let us know and we can escalate this to our team of specialists.

@marycampo how long ago was your referral link used to purchase a SimpliSafe system? The third-party we work with sends out the gift card 45 days after the system is purchased.

 

But if it has been more than 45 days, please contact out Support team and they can help fill out a resend form that goes directly to the third-party.

Customer support is useless asking ridiculous questions regarding my friends accounts :(

Same here, I have made 2 referrals and they have not sent anything. When I called customer support they are asking me for my friends' account number and other information pertaining to their account which is ridiculous :( 

Their referral program is just a scam. Will not refer anyone from now on :(

@mmidha0119 in cases like yours, it's important for our agents to get that information so they can verify everyone's accounts, and so they can fill out a resend form with the third-party we work with that actually distributes these gift cards. 

 

We see that the agent you spoke to successfully submitted your resend form, and you should receive your gift card within 10 days. If you do not, please let us know.

Called customer service regarding the referral for my friend who has activated their system on October 18th, I was put on hold for more than 30 mins and then disconnected. :(
