Kitchen Sink water sensor just went off!
Close to midnight and the normally quiet base (configured for no sound or lights) started alerting us from a deep sleep that the kitchen sink water sensor went off. Phone call from monitoring, a push alert, SMS and an email later I was under the sink to see a leaking "J" pipe connection. Shut off the dishwasher to avoid further bailing and will now see what is in store for me tomorrow morning with a visit to the local hardware store for some parts.
Thanks SimpliSafe! We would have been doing the side stroke while having breakfast if we had not been alerted.
Now, about that WIFI water shutoff we have been asking for years...... :-)

After my original post on the 11th of January I didn't think I would be back here so soon. Luckily not at night but this time mid morning we received another verbal alert from our usual quiet base, and the matching email, push alert and SMS telling my wife and I that our laundry room water sensor detected a leak. A quick inspection showed that condensation had formed on the steel houses and had dripped onto the water sensor. A sigh or relief, I canceled the alarm, addressed the automated call from monitoring and dried off the sensor to place it back behind the washing machine.
Thanks again, SimpliSafe, for having our back, again. on water leasks.
And, of course, where is the WIFI water shutoff we have been asking for years...... :-) Sorry but you really didn't expect me to omit that, right?
