It's time to pull these Scrap cameras down
Don't know. But I'm done and moving on.
Same Mesh wifi. Same base location, same base.
The junk cameras detect but don't send any videos up. So they are not connected no matter how many reboots. I've reset them for the final time. Or server side issues again.
Base lost wifi too and was very fininky to reconnect, which is nothing new.
Rebooted mutiple times. Was two cameras now its four offline.
Couple of app updates supposedly to improve things and fix bugs. Lol Might have wrecked connections instead.
I'll pull these cameras down and replace them with cameras that actually work. Including the OLD Simplisafe almost useless doorbells pro.
All 14 Wyze cameras are connected and work as does all other WiFi devices, except Simplisafe does not. Sensors still work. Redundantancy.
Simplisafe Cameras are all useless for anything security related.
@simplisafe_admin downgrade me to self monitoring from the free trail again. SOON.
Why have it if the cameras don't work and are offline and dont record anything.
You cannot retain me nor do you want to, so downgrade all the crap and move it to self monitoring AGAIN.
If not downgraded by Monday end of day. I'll call the Retention Department myself Tuesday and my AG shortly afterwards. So just make it happen.
I want my credit card removed again as well or I'll complain to my attorney general, AGAIN. I owe you no money, PERIOD!
Was ok for a little while, since May 8th 2025, free trial began, until latest updates to app, if that's related.
Simplisafe got a second chance and FAILED! AGAIN!
I've pressed reset for the last and final time.
Two+ years of nonsense and pathetic excuses & poor advice from Simplisafes admins & phone calls from techs to ceo escalations.
I'm done, will pay someone to remove the stuff I can't reach, put in an evidence box and hope someone with money files a class action lawsuit I can hopefully join.
I know one or two here will say how many installs they've done and theirs work fine and kudos to y'all.
Mine NEVER consistently worked in two years+. Very stressful.
Do all those installs have 7 cameras? Or just sensors & or 1 or 2 cameras?
The stuff is ancient, 2018 tech. Scrap then and scrap now.
Maybe the sensors will work a while yet to get some use from this wasted $1,600.00 loss and 2+ years of my time.π€¬

@simplisafe_admin Matt did call today and did downgrade me to self monitoring.
So far.
One of five OD camera still refuses to connect even for slow 8 second typical, live views. Your connection checker says excellent, -56dbm, 16 up. Im not asking for any help there, there isn't a fix I'm interested in.
If anyone else reads this, seems the easiest and most cheerful way is to post here for a specialist to call you to downgrade or completely cancel. Maybe it'll be done, maybe not, depends which email you believe. Laughable. See below. π€£
Calling in to them gets dropped calls for me anyhow. Bad foreign phone lines I presume.
Chat may work also to downgrade, but be clear what you want, downgrade or cancel completely..at least they insinuated they could do it.
Matt will follow up with my credit card removal from SS 3rd party I presume billing system. He couldn't do that part ASAP.
I will remove the five expensive, useless OD cameras, do some myself if I can reach and I'll also replace the doorbells when I can with hardware that actually works for both uses.
One OD cam has for a while been opening live view with the spinning camera thing still spinning, sound heard, visual opened. Takes a couple tries to finally open it to live view.
I presume the base RF signal is getting weaker after 2+ years.
That cam also has excellent connections per your app connection checker.
I have a spare base, just a matter of whether I want to go thru all that pairing or just remove the sensors too.
Just because I'm dumping Simplisafe to self monitoring by no means nor suggests I won't participate here if I deem it necessary. ππ§Ώπ΅οΈββοΈπΆοΈ While I have Simplisafe products I'm still a customer whether you like it or not. π Or whether I like it.
I have two years on the wiretapping issues if I feeI need for the extra stress to take that on.
It would behoove you to just stop recordings if a customer has self with no recordings. It's illegal, at least in PA without two party consent for audio recordings. I have digital proof stored.
Thanks @simplisafe_admin for having Matt call and taking care of half the issues so far. He said.... he'd follow up by call or email on the credit card removal from your 3rd party billing systems issues.
Of laughable note is your weird email communications bot.
One email notified to me I had been downgraded to Basic without recordings which the app verifies.
Immediately thereafter, another email came in that said the request was recinded and I would continue to be billed.
I can tell you right now, THAT BETTER NOT HAPPEN. IT'S ANOTHER VIOLATION OF CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS. FULL STOP. PERIOD.

I did lower myself to pushing the reset button for the 10th time probably. Lol.
Had to being the thing inside, never had to before.
Almost proof the base RF is weakening.
All 7 are back online after a week+ of being offline.
Appears to be in the midst of camera updates too. So...too little too late.

Wow! Simplisafe told me that my cameras can only connect to a router and not an access point. Makes zero sense technically.
