Voice prompts / announcements are cut off / incomplete
My base station does not always announce the complete voice prompts when arming home and when announcing the various sensor names in test mode. For example, I'll press "Home" on the keypad, and the base station will say something like "Sim..." or "Simplisafe" or even just "Sss" instead of the full announcement which is "Simplisafe On, Home." When in test mode, it'll say something like "Master..." instead of "Master Bedroom, Motion Sensor." The completeness of the announcements vary. Strange thing is when I arm using the app, so far the announcements have been complete. I have the latest firmware updated one week ago.
Anyone else having the same issue?
This issue has been resolved as of Base Station firmware 2.14. If you are experiencing this issue, please update your Base Station to the latest version. |

We had this issue. My issue was fixed by replacing the batteries in the keypad. The system has been working normally for a couple of weeks now. Cheers!

Same here. Voice response works correctly maybe 50% of the time. Other times only parts of words or no spoken response at all. Seems to still arm/disarm correctly. Hoping for a fix soon.

Our voice prompts have been cutting off for about the past 3 weeks. We push 'Home' or 'Away' on the keypad and the voice prompt gets cut off quickly. We push 'Off' and then push either 'Home' or 'Away' again and the entire voice message plays through without getting cutoff. Either way, system seems to arm or disarm properly and function properly. Just a very annoying glitch. We did remove and replace the batteries in the keypad and the same problem continues. Hope there's a fix sometime soon...

If system is arming/disarming from keypad, I cannot see battery strength affecting the voice prompt on the base station. Mine will say "system" and nothing else when arming or disarming, but otherwise everything is working. We have two keypads both with new batteries and the voice messages truncating is now a frequent issue.
This seems to be a very widespread problem with a lot of people experiencing it. I hope a fix is in the works soon. Any progress??

When you run diagnostics from the keypad (menu, enter code, System, diagnostics) do you show wifi as available? I found out that mine was not and when I got it fixed, the voice prompts returned to normal. Although I did complete an update that had said "couldn't do without internet" after getting it set back up.
On another note, why does this forum let you type a response and then not let you post it until you log in? But then when you do log in, everything you typed is gone

Yes the log in issue is a real pain, hopefully, the software people will fix that as well.
