Keypad Chime

Is it possible to have the keypad chime upon entering after setting the alarm but at the same time not have the base station announce when a door or window opens? Thank you.

@vcasolaro The chime you hear from the Keypad after you enter your home when your system is armed is the system's Entry Delay. It cannot be turned off, but it can be customized. You can see the Exit and Entry Delay Settings and Customizations article in the Help Center to learn more.

The sound you hear from the Base Station when an Entry Sensor is opened is the system's Entry Sensor Chime Volume setting, which can be turned off. In the SimpliSafe mobile app, navigate to My System > Base Station Settings > Entry Sensor Chime or Name Announcement. Then move your finger along the slider bar to Off.

My problem is my keypad no longer chimes when I enter the house after the alarm has been set. If I turn the volume setting on my base station back on, then the keypad works as it's supposed to but then the base station announces the opening of any door or window. I want the keypad to chime and at the same time mute the base station. Thank you.

@vcasolaro Modifying the Base Station's Entry Sensor Chime setting should not impact the Keypad's Entry Delay countdown. What armed mode(s) does your system exhibit this behavior in?

By default, the Entry Sensor is set to trigger an alarm whenever the device is opened in Home or Away Modes. When an Entry Sensor is tripped you should hear the Keypad's Entry Delay countdown, but the Base Station "hides" itself and shouldn't make any sound at all.

On the other hand, Entry Sensors cannot trigger alarms while the system is disarmed in Off Mode. When a sensor is opened in Off Mode, the Base Station will chime (if the setting is on), but the Keypad's countdown should not be audible.
