Green light on base station

Installed replacement base station and everything appears to work but back part of the light remains green and will not turn off using the on/off switch.

If arming and disarming hasn't helped;

Often or maybe all,🀷 swap outs may be used equipment. Who knows if they blow them out and reload firmware or not. See terms and conditions.

Anyhow, you might try a base station reset, unplug power cord from wall & base, get a screw driver,  phillips perhaps,πŸ€” remove a rechargeable battery, or all of them if you want, for about 3 minutes,  reassemble in reverse order,  plug in power.

Its a known issue per search, odd lights on base, unknown if fixed, evidently not. If no answers from them here or chat or calls, and the above doesn't help, ask for a new (old) lol, base again.

Hi @22bucyrus,

As Dlpsr said, I would recommend resetting your Base Station to see if that clears out the light. You can do this by taking the following steps:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the Base Station, and use a Phillips Head screwdriver to remove the screw below the plug
  2. Remove the bottom cover and remove one battery from the Base Station
  3. Wait 30 seconds
  4. Reassemble the Base Station by inserting the battery, cover, and the power cord
  5. When powered up after the reset, the Base Station will say "Welcome to SimpliSafe"

If a reset does not help, please let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot here in the Community.
