Wiring an old 1950's Nutone K40 Chime to Video Pro Doorbell
I am trying to wire a SS video doorbell to an existing Nutone K40 doorbell chime box using a SS Chime Connector. The Nutone chime box has 5 terminals (not 3 like shown in most SS instructions). These terminals are common, trans, 4-8 note, 2-note, and 1-note. Doing some online research seems to indicate that the 4-8 note terminal is intended to be the front doorbell chime. I used a SimpliSafe chime connector utilizing the trans and 4-8 note wires and still get a constant 1-note chime when the doorbell is pressed that does not stop until I disconnect the SS doorbell. The Nutone K40 chime box indicates it is receiving 24V of power as does the wiring at my doorbell. Any ideas on how to get this wired up to stop the constant chime when the doorbell is pressed?

I could paste what Chatgpt suggested which is rather long. Or you could log in and ask, its free for a few top tier Ai questions.
Then falls back to a lesser Ai.
You choose and at your own risk. Ai aren't always correct.

@jvestal12 Within the Video Doorbell Pro's settings in the SimpliSafe app, you will see a flow that walks you through the setup of the Chime Connector depending on the number of wires you have and the way they are labeled.
If you open the app and navigate to My System > Camera Settings > select [your Video Doorbell Pro] > Chime Connector Installation, it should walk you through the steps based on your setup.
But we also see that our team of specialists have been working with you directly to help set up the Chime Connector. We see that a member of the team tried to call you yesterday, so we also recommend checking your voicemail box for next steps.
