Version 1 Outdoor Cameras Firmware

FYI

1.38 firmware is rolling out, for whatever that's worth. One of five updated.🀷

I see 1.38.2.206   but I think it's been a week or 2 at that version for me.   No obvious changes.      My version 2 camera is on 1.38.2.208  (but still  doesn't have the "camera behavior" feature added.

@Pack Pure speculation on my part. It's probably a struggle within. BTW; My one camera is 138.2.206 also, the rest are still 137...etc.

As to version 2, I don't have any. My guess though, is that it's a possible firmware how to issue and/or the conflict of agents not having full control of the cameras, if paid Pro monitoring etc., and allowing users to manually turn off the detections or sirens etc... A legal dilemma perhaps.

Or, maybe that they're wrestling with paid Pro monitoring and that those users may never get cameras behavior vs version 2 without any monitoring, or lesser than Pro agent monitoring, if that's even allowed or available. I don't know, I'll never have any version 2 cams. Guessing.

Required power cables weren't in my past plans or ever for these cameras. I self monitor now anyhow, so it really doesn't matter to me anymore. Mostly expensive outer wall decorations now.😁 Visual deterrents perhaps. $1,600.00 worth of nothing.

But, the sensors still alarm, while they last, as a backup redundant security warning system to my home brewed primary system.

The other speculation is how much firmware can they actually stuff into 64MB of Winbond 25q64jvsiq flash memory? Also speculation, but from a disection of the SS3 system I read one time.

🀷 Who knows? Anyhow, good luck with yours!
