Providing access to homeland security and ICE
I have recently been reading that DHS has been tapping into flocking cameras to trace license plates and the times when targeted immigrants leave their homes so they can be snatched off the streets.
Ring has just publicly stated they do not provide such information to either DHS or ICE. I cannot get a straight answer from SimpliSafe useless Philippine call center clowns. I have not gotten an answer to my email question to corporate either which makes me even more suspicious. Especially since they were bought out private equity. The essence of evil.

To set expectations, front line level one support agents are trained in product technical specifics and to assist customers to troubleshoot and find resolutions. Asking one of them, whether based in the Philippines, Argentina or Hoboken New Jersey about corporate policy on a complex topic like national immigration policy and enforcement, at least in my opinion, is more than a little bit out of their lane and over their pay grade.
I am not going to debate or express my personal opinions on any of the aspects of you post, other than the above. Now I ask SimpliSafe senior management to provide you the information you are requesting, either here in the community or directly to your attention.,
Whether owned by a equity fund or any other type ownership, that alone doesn't make them saints or devils. What makes them a socially responsible company is keeping promises made, in this instance, keep customer's families and property safe.

Thank you for your thoughtful response on this matter. Based on recent media reporting regarding the Department of Homeland Security accessing data from certain private security systems, I believe it is both reasonable and important for customers to understand SimpliSafe’s position on this issue.
Ring has recently addressed a similar question and stated that DHS does not have access to its systems. I would welcome a comparable, clear statement from SimpliSafe so customers can make informed decisions.
The other points you raise are separate issues and, while potentially worth discussing, would be better addressed through a different and more focused conversation.

Hey there @marinjoe
We recently responded to a similar inquiry on this post which also links back to a response I made on Reddit that goes into even more detail. Our CEO also posted this message on her LinkedIn. Apologies that you weren't given the answers you were looking for. We are actively training and educating our agents around this subject as @captain11 mentioned it isn't one that was asked often just a couple of months ago even though our commitment to data privacy and your security haven't changed we understand the importance of having those clear answers.

I am not a user of either social media listed which is why I went to this community forum. Thanks for your response and it sounds like this company is not participating in any kind of “big brother sharing”.

Thanks for the update but I like some others do not use those types of social media. So I can’t read what she wrote. But it appears you are confirming this company is not participating in any “big brother” sharing personal data. For that I am happy to read.
