How to turn off camera notification when system is Off?

I have the Outdoor Camera series 2.  I'm also on the initial Pro monitoring plan.  What I'm finding is that I triggered 48 camera alerts when I was in the driveway washing my motorcycle with the system off.  Not only did I get 48 camera alerts, but my wife did also.

Yes, I can snooze the camera alerts for 30 or 60 minutes.  My wife took the most expedient action for her since she is non-techie, which was to turn off all the sound on her phone.  That's way too drastic to solve this issue.

I'm reading about being able to customize those notifications based on whether the system is OFF, Home or Away...but it seems that's only available if I'm not on a monitoring plan.  How do I do this while on a monitoring plan?

Somehow, I should be able to turn off the camera warning notifications when the system is off...and have them come on when the system is activated.

I guess no one looks at these.

I guess this is a place where questions go off to die a slow death...

@crypkema while I am not with SS I can tell you of a workaround of sorts, but should note your request has been raised many times to SS, and so far, has only resulted in this:  when the first alert hits your phone via a push alert, tap on the down arrow and tap "snooze for 60 minutes" and they notices will stop for that amount of time. Only works on push alerts as far as I know and not on SMS or email notifications. Again, not what you requested but at least it can stop the notices for the hour.

Thanks, @captain11 I've seen your posts in several places.  They should pay you for the time and effort you put in here.  But thank you will probably have to do for now.  :)

I came up with the same conclusion you did.  I can snooze the monitoring for 30 or 60 minutes...or simply turn off the notifications.  If I'm right, the notifications go away for me in that case, but at night the SS monitors will still be notified.

I find it interesting to compare what the SS system has versus the system we had installed in our old house 30 years ago.  We had no camera, so the irritations we find in the camera notifications simply did not exist.

Again, thank you.

@crypkema I too had an old ADT system. God, I hate them to this day. Paid over$60 a month back in 90's and didn't even own the system. And getting out of the contract....bad memories for sure.

Don't need to get paid, SS has been an important part of our lives since 2012 and most of our family are customers, as is many neighbors, friends and former coworkers. Great company, not perfect, but much better than the likes of ADT.
