Do you see any error message on your Keypad - like Keypad Out of Range? Or are you setting up your Keypad for the first time?
As a first step it can help to remove a battery from your Keypad and then reinsert it to restart the Keypad and refresh its connection to the Base Station. But if you let me know about any error messages your Keypad shows, or any additional details, I can help troubleshoot further.
The lights on the control panel stay on, draining the batteries within 2-3 days. Also the menu button does not work. Base station keeps saying control panel not responding. I would have sent a photo of it, but don't know how to add a photo to this link. Is there anything I can do to fix this or is the control panel faulty. Thank you
@inevapay How far away is the Keypad from the Base Station? Is there any heavy walls/appliances between the two? It could be that the Keypad is too far away from the Base Station, or that there is interference between the two of them. When this happens, it causes the Keypad to work harder to maintain its connection to the Base Station, which in turn can cause both this error message and its batteries to drain faster.
If you see the Error: Keypad Out of Range article on the Help Center, it will take you through the steps to troubleshoot for any range and interference issues.
But if the Keypad is close to the Base Station and there is nothing directly between their path, there may be an issue with the device itself. In that case, please reach out to our Support team for additional assistance.
