Garage door sensor mounting methods
Text support is awful now. I need a door sensor for overhead doors. How can this be accomplished with what you sell?

Hi @jeburton80,
I have seen other users have success with putting an Entry Sensor on their garage's overhead door by placing the magnet on the top lip of the door, and mounting the sensor on the wall.
However, please note that neither piece of the Entry Sensor should be placed directly on metal, as it can demagnetize the sensor and cause it to read an incorrect open/closed status. If there's a metal part of your garage door that you want to put your sensor on, we recommend adding a buffer between the sensor and metal. This can be anything like a second layer of adhesive or a piece of cardboard. We also recommend that the Entry Sensor is kept in an environment that's between 32-120° F, just in case your garage gets very cold or hot.
