Entry sensor not chiming

My security system is a few years old. My entry sensors have always lit up blue and chimed when I open the door. Here recently the base stopped chiming. I thought it was an issue with the sensors, so I replaced the batteries in them. It didn't help. I unplugged the base, took out the batteries, put the batteries back in, and plugged it back in. It still isn't chiming. What do I need to do to get the base to chime?

Hi @pemberton35,

When you open and close and close those doors/windows, do the LED lights on the Entry Sensors flash? They should flash once when they open, and twice when they close. If the lights don't flash, I would remove the battery in each sensor for 15 seconds and then place it back in - just to ensure that they're installed correctly.

What do I do when the lights are flashing and the door sensor is detected in test mode but still does not chime?

I am having the same issue. They flash like they should, volume is up, batteries are fine but no chime on any windows or doors.

@cherylvaughn and @mreschke71 Are your systems armed in Home or Away Modes when you experience this behavior? By default, the Base Station will chime when an Entry Sensor is opened in Off Mode, but if a sensor is opened in Home or Away Modes the Base Station will not chime and an alarm will be triggered instead.

Mine were all doing the same thing. Blue lights/no chime in Home mode. My system is only a few weeks old,

I armed system to home, then disarmed and it solved the problem.
