Unable to log into Mobile App due to Additional White Box

When logging in with your username and password, you may be asked to check a box to confirm that you are human.

This feature (called reCAPTCHA) uses Javascript. If you are not able to see it, or see only an empty field, then the issue may be that Javascript is disabled on your phone’s default browser.

If you have an ad blocker or popup blocker extension, you may need to disable it temporarily or add SimpliSafe® to the list of exceptions.

How to Turn Off JavaScript on iOS (iPhone)

  1. Open General Settings on your device

  2. Select “Safari” in your apps list

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select “Advanced”

  4. Toggle JavaScript on

  5. Force close the SimpliSafe® mobile app and launch it again

If the above steps do not allow you to log into your account, you may have popup blockers enabled. To disable them

  1. Open General Settings on your device

  2. Select “Safari” in your apps list

  3. Under “General”, select “Extensions”

  4. Look for any ad or popup blockers and disable them

  5. Force close the SimpliSafe® mobile app and launch it again

How to Turn Off JavaScript on Android

The steps you will need to take depend on your device’s default browser.

For Google Chrome

  1. Launch the Google Chrome web browser

  2. Tap on the three dots to open the menu

  3. Navigate to “Settings”

  4. Select “Site Settings”

  5. Toggle JavaScript on

  6. Force close the SimpliSafe® mobile app and launch it again

For Samsung Internet

  1. Launch the Samsung Internet browser

  2. Tap on the three lines to open the menu

  3. Navigate to “Settings”

  4. Select “Site and Downloads”

  5. Select “Site Permissions”

  6. Toggle JavaScript on

  7. Force close the SimpliSafe® mobile app and launch it again

For Microsoft Edge

  1. Launch the Microsoft Edge browser

  2. Tap on the three dots to open the menu

  3. Navigate to “Settings”

  4. Select “Privacy and Security”

  5. Select “Site Permissions”

  6. Toggle JavaScript on

  7. Force close the SimpliSafe® mobile app and launch it again
