App Error: Received State Is Invalid

Some Android users may experience a “Received State Is Invalid” error when attempting to log into the SimpliSafe® mobile app. This error is caused by turning on the “Don’t Keep Activities” setting within the phone’s Developer Options, which is Off by default.
How To Remove This Error
To successfully log into the SimpliSafe mobile app, “Don’t Keep Activities” needs to be turned off on your phone. You can do this by taking the following steps:
On your Android, open the General Settings swiping down from the top of the screen
Tap the gear icon on the the top right side of the screen
Select the “About Phone” option
Locate the Build Number and quickly tap on it 7 times to enable “Developer Options”
Locate “Developer Options” near the bottom of the General Settings menu and tap on it
Depending on your Android’s model, step 5 may differ. If so, either consult your phone’s manual or search for where “Developer Options” section is located
Scroll down the screen to locate the “Apps” header
Select the “Don’t Keep Activities” option and turn it Off, but keep “Developer Options” On
Attempt to log into the SimpliSafe mobile app again. The “Received State Invalid” message should no longer appear
