System Firmware 2.13 (May 2023)

Hello Community,

One more small update for you with a couple of fixes, and support for our next release. Please note that if you are setting up a Smart Alarm Camera, you will need this version installed on your Base Station before continuing.

Here’s what’s coming in 2.13:

  • Added support for live guard protection
  • Fixed a very rare issue when pairing an Entry Sensor to a Smart Lock
  • Fixed a very rare issue when unpairing an Entry Sensor with a Smart Lock
  • Updated support for UL-985 Certification

What changed with the 2.13.8 Base Station update?

@pgibian the 2.13 update focused on fixing the rare issue some users were facing when pairing/unpairing an Entry Sensor with a Smart Lock, as well as adding support for our upcoming 24/7 live guard protection service and support for UL-985 Certification.

Where are the step-by-step directions for doing a software update? It took a phone call last month to get me through that process! And how often will these updates happen?

@emily_s I just wanted to update you that my issue since I think 2 firmware updates ago is still happening even with the latest update. My sistem will repeatedly go into armed mode or disarm mode, whatever mode it was in set by me. So I get several push notifications all day or all night.
As you know I have spoken with several CS people and posted this issue before.
You had mentioned once that the issue was now seen by you all and will be addressed in a update. It's been at least 2 updates and nothing has changed.

Hi @eamail2001,

Our engineers are working on a solution to this issue; it just isn't ready to be rolled out yet. I sincerely apologize for the wait time on this, but be rest assured that a solution is in development.

Is this update currently live? My base station is currently on 2.12.0 and Keypad is 2.12.2. When I check for updates via the Keypad it indicates there is an available update it needs to download (but fails to download it, no error messages). I contacted support via phone and they told me that everything is up to date (again 2.12.0/2.12.2) and to disregard the message when checking for updates.

@dopey_microbe This update is live and is available on your system. I went ahead and pushed it to your Base Station - this should help you complete the download!

Thanks! I reattempted the update last night and as of now its still stuck at "Installing Base Station". Clearly the base station is not in a healthy state. Is it safe for me to hard reset (disconnect/reconnect AC and Battery Power) the base station with where its at in the update and then try again?

I power cycled both the base station and keypad today. The base station is showing the 2.13 firmware. The keypad is still showing 2.12. Is the keypad firmware correct or should it have updated as well?

@dopey_microbe Glad you got that reset done. Nope, you're all set. The Keypad stays at 2.12 for this round.

Should the firmware of the key pad the same as the base station 2.13?
