Neighbor garage entered but not mine.....

Last evening a neighbor's garage door was forced opened (hanger through the top to unhook the door opener chain) and their two car's contents were cleaned out.  They don't have an alarm. I have a generic sign out front AND both of my garage doors have Simplisafe entry sensors mounted on them with Etsy nylon holders and are confirmed to alarm with both being sent to instant trigger.  Unfortunately, when we are not home and the system is in Away mode, I will only get a secret alert as the current design of the system only can accommodate that.

The good news: I think SS will have a new customer soon. The bad news:

Going on six years and still requesting garage door sensors to be sold by Simplisafe. You have a hardware solution. Tweak the firmware and you have what you need to make a lot of money and make a lot of customers happy.

As far as attached garages, btw, like many, my garage doors are closer to the base than some of the other sensors in my two story 2600 sq foot house. Never a connection issue.
