Video door bell ringer

does the doorbell switch for my analog 12-24 V existing system work with a switch in the unit or is there a separate remote relay that I attach to the ringer box ?

You should not need to add anything else to your doorbell's existing setup when installing the Video Doorbell Pro. The switch from your analog doorbell should work with the Video Doorbell. For more on installing the Video Doorbell, I recommend visiting this article in our Help Center.

@gpnitcher​ As a first step, it can help to reset the Video Doorbell to refresh its firmware. You can do this by pressing and holding the large button on the back of the device for 30 seconds. Once you release the button, you will be prompted to set it back up in the SimpliSafe mobile app. 

But if a reset doesn't help, we'd want to look at the setup of the Video Doorbell next. Its motion sensor is most sensitive to lateral movement, so we recommend setting up the device so objects move across its field of view rather than coming at it straight on.

We offer a horizontal angle bracket that allows you to turn the camera by 15° to help make motion more lateral. If you contact our Support team, they can send you a doorbell angle kit free of charge!

@famosha Is the Base Station's Doorbell Chime setting on? You can check this in the SimpliSafe mobile app by navigating to My System > Camera Settings > select [your Video Doorbell Pro > Base Station Chime. If the setting is set to Off or Low, drag your finger along the slider bar to select your desired volume. 

To use the Video Doorbell Pro's 2-way audio, hold the microphone button down to speak to visitors through the camera. But in order to hear what they are saying to you, you must remove your finger from the microphone button. If you press down on it while someone is speaking, you will not be able to hear the audio.
