Discrepancy in company policy

I just got a new system not 6 months ago, and I wanted to add some indoor cameras to it. Still, the company policy says (after talking to a rep, who was extremely helpful and kind) that they cannot give the same discount (50%) as before, a friend of mine got the same discount after 8 months. I do not know how does this happen.

Our official policy comes from common sense: If you purchase a SimpliSafe system from us directly, then you get a 60 Day Money Back Guarantee. So you could, if you wanted to, return the whole system for a full refund, then buy again with the better discount.

To save time and resources (and be a little bit friendlier to the environment!), our sales team is able to offer you the same discount as your system, for any additional components to expand your system.

You do seem to be a few months past that mark, so I'm not sure we can guarantee the same deal for you. But we're more than happy to go through some options for you. I've gone ahead and requested a call from our Loyalty team, who'll be in touch with you soon.

@freemindnitesh I suggest you call back support, ask for a supervisor and poiltey explain your situation, and offer them an opportunity to discuss it and call you back. In my experience over the past 12 years, while SS is not perfect, and do have rules in place, they always go above and beyond. With my former company, the CEO said when interacting with customers a no, if necessary, should always be followed with a "but" and then offers an alternative solution.
