Smartlock 'deadlock'

The smartlock should have a way to use it manually, that is closing it from the knob or using the door keypad, without getting it deadlock.

Deadlock should only happen when the alarm is arm Home or Away.

This is an example this morning I disarm the alarm and leave for the gym, I closed the door and lock the smartlock with the door keypad, latter my husband was leaving for work and couldn't open the knob with his hand because it was deadlock, he had to reach in his backpack for his phone and unlock the door from the app, so imagine if he had an emergency and needs to run out of the house he could ONLY open the door from the app, that just doesn't make sense.

I tried all the different settings and nothing worked, I called customer service in case missed something, but the rep was only able to offer me a work around; turn the door sensors off when in Home mode and the smartlock lock set to do nothing on Home mode, and keep my alarm on Home mode when is not away, one that's just ridiculous and two if I locked the door from the door keypad IT WILL get deadlock too with that workaround.

Please fix this bug and let me know when fixed, I definitely will ordered again.

Hi @nancybautista ,

What you call a 'deadlock' shouldn't be happening at all! So that's the actual problem.

This jamming can sometimes happen due to normal wear and tear and your doorway shifting around. As a result, your Smart Lock would no longer have correct settings for what is fully closed, so it keeps trying to lock.

You can resolve it by re-calibrating the Smart Lock in your Keypad Settings. You can find the instructions here.
