Old Announcement Keeps Repeating

About two weeks ago I accidentally kept putting the wrong doorlock pin into the doorlock keypad too unlock the door and didn't realize it.  Eventually the base station announced that this was the problem.  At the next opportunity, I put the correct PIN into the pad and the door opened.  Now every time I arm the system via any method, the base station announces that too many wrong attempts have been made on the doorlock keypad before it arms.  The error doesn't show up in the app anywhere, so there is noting that I can delete to correct the situation.  It doesn't affect the function at all but it is very annoying.  Is there something that I need to do to get rid of this erroneous error announcement?

Hi @Vince,

Do you see a notification on your Keypad that mentions this error message? If there is, I would recommend clearing it out to see if that resolves this problem.

If there is not, I would then try resetting the Base Station by taking the following steps:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the Base Station, and use a Phillips Head screwdriver to remove the screw below the plug
  2. Remove the bottom cover and remove one battery from the Base Station
  3. Wait 30 seconds
  4. Reassemble the Base Station by inserting the battery, cover, and the power cord
  5. When powered up after the reset, the Base Station will say "Welcome to SimpliSafe"

Thanks Emily,

The notification never did show up in the app, but it did eventually appear on the keypad.  Once I deleted it from the keypad, everything was back to normal.

Thanks again!

As Emily said, reboot base station.
