@crjohn68 depends on how you have the smart lock configured. Whether the key fob, app or keypad changes the system to off, the smark lock doesn't care.

Hello @crjohn68,
As Captain11 mentioned, if your Smart Lock has been set to unlock once the system has been disarmed into Off Mode, it will always unlock regardless of the device you use to disarm the system.
You can check this setting in the SimpliSafe mobile app by going to My System > Device Settings > select [your Smart Lock] > Off Mode. From there, you can set it to Unlock Always or Unlock from Away.
