I'm getting so tired of "Smart Lock, not responding"
I've had Smart Locks for many years. Right now I have two of them. At least twice a year, the base station says they aren't responding. However, it's a lie, they are responding just fine. They lock, they unlock, they work with the pin pad, they calibrate and recalibrate. A fix SOMETIMES is to remove the lock from the system, do a reset on it, add it back, and the problem goes away.
This often occurs when the firmware is updated, either the base station or the smart locks. A few weeks ago it started again, both locks at the same time. Batteries checked fine. Deleted locks, reset locks, reinstalled locks. One worked, one did not. Today I replaced batteries in that lock. Hit recalibrate, and it worked fine. External keypad works fine. Armed the system, and... "Smart Lock Not Responding". The best part is that she has to repeat that numerous times.
It's clearly a firmware issue with the base station. As a SimpliSafe customer of 11 years, I'm getting tired of it.
And the forum has gone from easy to post into to almost impossible.
