When you say that your Key fob is not working, I'm assuming you mean that when you press a button, your Base Station does not respond by arming or disarming your system. We have a page on the Help Center that can guide you through the troubleshooting steps.
Yesterday it was beeping uncontrollably and then it stopped and will not work. I need to order a new one. As I read they do not use batteries. We have only had our system 3 years.
@lt8lwpn if you have a SimpliSafe Original Keychain remote, which looks like this:
You can replace the battery with any brand of CR1632 battery. To access the battery panel, remove the cap at the end, place a thumb on the back panel (where the logo is) and slide away from the ring.
If your Keyfob looks like this:
Then you have a SimpliSafe Gen 3 system. That particular Key Fob model is super-slimmed down, and the battery cannot be replaced. Of course, the battery should be lasting you up to 5 years. But if you need a replacement, our Support team can help.
There should be some sort of a discount when replacing a fob that has had it's battery die. It seems that all other SimpliSafe produ;cts have replaceable batteries to help keep the cost down.
