Key Pad dead and leaving town tonight

Can i just rely on the App to set the system to on? Any downsides to that?

@tooearly The app works just fine.  When first started years ago, it was a bit dicey (I am talking double digits here) but now it's very reliable.  Only thing that would prevent it from not working would be no internet connectivity. Have gone to Europe for 15 days and was able to check in on the system mutliple times a day with no issues.  Safe travels to you and yours, and of course, Happy Holidays.

BTW, when you say the keypad is dead, any troubleshooting steps taken? Did you contact support?

@tooearly As mentioned by Captain11, you are able to arm your system remotely using the app as long as you have internet connection.

And when you say that the Keypad is dead, does it need new batteries? Or are you experiencing something else? The steps in this article that Dlpsr commented is a great troubleshooting step to help power on your Keypad again.

Thanks All. By dead i mean i can power up but the key pad don't work well. Hitting some numbers does nothing.
