Does Old Equipment work with New Base
I understand that the new sensors only work with the new Gen3 base.
I currently have Gen 2 base.
If I upgrade to Gen 3 will the sensors and Key pad from my Gen 2 work with Gen 3 or do I need an entire new system including camera etc.
Just need to be sure if any of the Gen 2 accessories work with Gen 3.

Joe Peoples,
The biggest difference between the two generations is the radio signal. The Gen3 signal can work further, more efficiently, and way more securely. But none of the Gen2 components can use that new signal. So long story short, anything that uses the local radio is not cross-compatible; not just sensors, but also Keypads and Fobs, Sirens, etc.
Both the Video Doorbell Pro and the Simplicam, however, connect through your home's WiFi connection instead, and only speak to the Base Station through the internet. So they can work with all generations of SimpliSafe system (or even without it!).

I just now Upgraded to the New System, I understand the old components won’t work with the new Base Station, but I have 6 of the Old Cameras, will THEY work on the New system? I would think they would because they are WiFi based, amd I correct?
