@huxianlj You can add another card and mark it as the primary yourself online (log into your dashboard, look at the top right to see your credit card on file. To delete the old card, as of now, you have to call into customer service. Yes, a waste of your time and Simplisafe's time, but when I asked the agent said they were working on this to make it available online for customers.
Just went through this same thing with Customer Service. It's there, just hard to find! On the website, go to Monitoring. At the top there's a grey area saying 'Monitoring', followed by a blue section with your plan info, and below that is an off-white section with options (Account ID, etc.). Look closely at the blue section; scan to the right an you will see Credit Card, then look for 'edit' right underneath Credit Card (super hard to see because it's also in blue). You can also find it in the phone app, it's a little easier on there, just go to Plan & Billing. Hope that helps!
I had to search for it but eventually found it. From your Dashboard menu, click on Monitoring. After the page loads, click on edit under Credit Card.
Attention Simplisafe Team:
It would be easier if we could manage our payment methods via a more intuitively obvious place like Manage Account. Also, I need to remove a credit card, but I cannot do it unless I contact customer support. We should be allowed to remove credit cards via account management. Thanks.
Here we are, June 2024 and still having threads in the community on credit card management. I used to tell our staff programmers that if users consistently complain they can't figure out your GUI, its on you, no matter how good you think it is.
Simplisafe, there should be no, that's zip, de nada, zero calls into your support center on credit cards...or darn close to zip. Get your product manager on this, contact the people in this thread and have them provide you an acceptable GUI to them, not you, on how this should be set up...and then do it. There is way too much more to do than to continue to waste your or customers' time on this.
@shecky926 please keep in mind that the Community is a public space, so we strongly recommend not posting personal info such as your email address here. We have edited your post accordingly.
But to answer your question, you can change your payment method through the Simplisafe app. We have a guide on the Help Center that takes you through it step by step. If you run into trouble or encounter errors, please let us know!
@eia1957 you can update the payment method on your account using either the SimpliSafe mobile app or the web app. Step-by-step instructions for both methods can be found in the How To Update Your Payment Method article in the Help Center.
I updated payment info 13 days ago. Today I received an email saying paynent is overdue and I need to update payment info. Let me know how we can correct this. [edited]

@tcb1216 We first want to let you know that we removed your name and phone number from your comments. The Community is a public forum, and we want to protect the privacy of all of our users.
When you updated that payment method on your account, was this new card set to the default? You can check this in the SimpliSafe mobile app by navigating to the three-bar menu in the upper left corner of the screen > Plan & Billing > Credit Card. Then, tap this new credit card and select Make it my default.

To all: I had to edit my credit card for a new expiration date and used the Android phone app. Was easy and worked fine!

I would like to switch my payment option to withdraw monthly from my checking account rather than charge my credit card.
I do not see an option for this on the website. Do I need to call? Or is there a way to do this online?
Thank you!
