Only 2 Primary Contacts????? Why?

My old alarm company had as many primary contacts as we needed BEFORE you call the cops.  For GOOD reason.  Not sure why you limit it to only two contact numbers?!?!?!?!  Lets do the possible math for two working people.

Home land line #
My Cell #
My Wife Cell #
My Work# (cells not allowed)
Wifes work# (cells not allowed or separated from)

That is 5 numbers you need to try BEFORE calling the authorities.  I can't do that with this system because you only allow 2.

Why have professional monitoring if they are screwing around trying  to contact people.  Most police take forever to arrive, so the sooner they are dispatched the better.

Note they only call the first number if the smoke detector goes off.  Time is critical in a real situation, and every additional attempt at contact takes minutes.

I know I am replying to a very old post, but as far as I'm concerned this is BS.  I am in much more danger if an armed intruder breaks into my house in the middle of the night then I am a fire. Yet SimpliSafe will call both primary contacts first in the event of a glass break/window/door, etc. sensor is tripped.

You could ditch the landline. Unless its free to you do your really still need one? You can also look into something like a google voice phone number which is free. You can set that up to ring both your cell phone and your wifes cell simultanously. You could even include that line land with it. If allowed at work your computer can also be setup to ring. All of these can ring from just 1 phone number, its like the end of The Lawn Mower Man. :)

Apparently there's a work-around that involves calling Support to add a third Primary Contact.  I just happened across that, though it doesn't really answer your initial question.
