Normally your account should be able to automatically recognize that you have a Smoke & CO Detector. But you can manually register it by putting your system into Test Mode:
On your Keypad, press Menu, then type in your PIN
Navigate to and select Test Mode
You'll see the text "Test each device by pressing its button"
On the Smoke & CO Detector, press the button on the face of the device
On your Timeline in the SimpliSafe app or webapp, look for the entry confirming that the test signal was received
Once you see the confirmation on your Timeline, you can exit Test Mode. Then, download the Monitoring Certificate again. The correct box should now be checked.
