two base stations on the same network

Can i put two base stations on the same network? ( so we can hear and set the alarm from two different parts of a large home)

Hi @baab08 ,

The Base Station (the tower) is the brain of the system. So there can be only one Base Station per system. If you were to have two Base Stations, then they would behave like two separate systems. That is certainly something you can do; but if you ever want to have them linked to Monitoring Service, you'll need to sign each one up to their own service plan.

Though you might actually be asking about the Keypad - in which case, you can have as many Keypads on the same system as you like.

And finally, we also have the Wireless Siren, which can relay the main siren, countdown chirps, and Entry Chimes at a much louder 105dB. That might be what you're looking for, in terms of hearing when the system is active through other parts of the house.

I want this too... Or can you allow the siren to sound the voice notifications so that I can hear these notifications either in the front or back doors to my house?

@styork I Have 2 keypads but they don't sound the voice alerts.. only the audible sounds... I want to hear " Alarm On  Home" In 2 places ... front and back of the house.

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, neither the current Wireless Siren nor the Keypad are capable of voice prompts. Only the Base Station is. But we'll pass on your suggestion to our dev team.

This really sucks. How come your dev team can be so stupid not to program this type of capabilities? This is a huge safety concern. Alarm.com key pads can chime, give voice prompts etc. I thought you guys are more advanced..

We also need to be able to hear the doorbell chime when not in the room where the base station is. The additional siren should be programmed to do this.  This is a very troubling design flow that makes doorbell almost useless.

Has this request been addressed?  I, too, would like to be able to hear voice prompts in other areas of the house.

@moharris18The Base Station is the brains of the SimpliSafe system, so there can only be one Base Station per system. If you got a second Base Station, it would act like its own system, not a part of your preexisting system.

We offer an Extra Siren that you can put throughout your home, but the siren only relays the system's siren, exit/entry delay countdowns, and the Entry Sensor's chime. The siren is unfortunately not capable of relaying the Base Station's voice prompts.

so we can have 2 separate keypads and 2 separate sirens on the same system in different locations of the home?

@kmk12601 Yes! While you can only have one Base Station on your system, you can add multiple Keypads and Extra Sirens to the system and place them throughout your home.
