System will not automatically reconnect to wifi after power outage

My system will not reconnect to my wifi after a power outage or interruption in wifi signal. A lot of times I don't catch it until the next day when it tells me "no link to dispatch center" which is concerning. Then I have to go back in and manually forget the wifi network and reconnect. It is frustrating especially with all the summer storms and power flickers in and out sometimes. Thanks for any help!

Hi carpenterjmii,

Of course, your SimpliSafe should be trying continuously to reconnect to WiFi. It's possible that it might have trouble connecting right away, if your WiFi takes a while to reboot and link with your ISP after an outage.
However, it shouldn't take hours, or fail to reconnect at all.

I suspect that your WiFi router might be blocking the connection due to security reasons. Would you mind letting us know your router's model number and your ISP? That can help us narrow down the possibilities.

My router is a Google Wifi router. Not sure of the model number but ISP is Comcast/Xfinity.
